English and Sims Family Photos Album #1



#1 A.  Unknown to me......but for some reason I think this may be a sister of Allie B.'s. Possibly Ruby?




#1 B. This may be the twin daughters of Effie Mae and Andrew Ransom Foxworth. Would like to varify this with the family of Effie Mae if possible.



This past weekend I woke up to a friend request from Jesse English. The only Jesse English I knew was my Great Great Grandfather who passed away in 1926. Eye opening text message. :) I now know the Jesse English who contacted me is the son of Anderson English the only son of Jesse and Lula Anderson English. Anderson is the only brother of Allie B. English my great grandmother.

When Jesse English, my great great grandfather, died in an accident, his wife Lula had already passed away. Anderson was 14 years old according to records from Allie B.'s bible. She and her husband, my great grandfather Henry Sims, took Anderson and 11 year old baby sister Rosa Lee to live with them. There are alot of pictures of Anderson in Granny's photos. I am posting several photos that I will identify by number and hope that some of the new found English family members can help me accurately identify. I never new "Uncle Anderson". Granny talked about him all the time. Granny was born in 1920 so Anderson would have been about 8 years older than Granny. She always referred to him as "Uncle Anderson", and Rosa Lee was "Aunt Rosa Lee."

#2 The lady on the left is Eunice Sims Watford and the lady in the middle is the wife of Anderson English, Gladys Hardy English, she is holding daughter Sharon Virginia English. The lady on the right Ruth Hardy Burch, sister to Gladys Hardy English and the man on the right is Harold Burch, Ruth's husband.
